This project, which is a research core in the Centre for Digital Health Interventions, aims to develop a digital biomarker for monitoring and predicting disease severity in rheumatoid arthritis patients in daily life using wearable data from smart rings and hand photographs. It is a collaboration between ETH Zurich, the University of Zürich (UZH), and the University Hospital Zurich (USZ).
This project, which was part of the broader SNF Dymand project, developed wearable AI systems for
(1) emotion recognition among couples managing a chronic disease and
(2) detection and capturing dyadic interactions in situ among couples managing chronic diseases.
It was a collaboration between ETH Zurich and the University of Zürich (UZH).
In these projects, we developed and evaluated AI-powered applications in collaboration with Kwame AI for science, computing, and legal education in low-resource settings such as Africa.
